How much is that baby in the window?

I saw this on another blog so I thought I would do the same (I'm such a copycat!! Gosh!). It's a list of all the expenses we've had with the testing and treatments thus far. I may not keep this up very well considering I'm already feeling sick to my stomach thinking about the money we've shelled, and will be shelling, out.
Here goes nothing:

Insurance
We are insured through Regeance Blue Cross/Blue Shield under my company. We have a $3,000 deductible. Diagnostic testing is covered, but we did all that in 2011 under United Healthcare. Fertility treatment is not covered, so everything will be out of pocket (OOP) from now on. I have set up an HSA (Health Savings Account) though and $100 out of each paycheck ($200/month) goes in to it. My company also put $1,500 at the beginning of the year. Then we got $500 for participating in a "Health Fair". The HSA money rolls over every year too.

Diagnostic Testing
  • Ultrasound: $89
  • Hysterosalpingogram: $245.63
  • Semen Analysis: $240
  • Bloodwork (glucose and cycle day 3 levels): $13.80
  • 2 hour Glucose test & bloodwork (thyroid & lipids): Waiting on bill

Treatment (6 rounds-2 Femara, 4 Clomid- with Timed Intercourse
  • 2 doses of Femara: $14
  • Bloodwork (progesterone to check ovulation): $5.20
  • Monitoring Ultrasounds: $960
  • 1st dose of Clomid: $18
  • 2nd dose of Clomid: $9
  • 3rd dose of Clomid (the one Walmart effed up): $32
  • Ovidrel (trigger shot): $177.98
I'm gonna switch this up a bit and start making a tally of money spent per round. I feel like it's going to be way more organized that way.

Round 7 - 1st IUI
  • Initial Consultation with RE & follow-up to discuss protocol: $237
  • Ultrasound checking for cysts: $392
  • Clomid: $18
  • 1st monitoring ultrasound: $320
  • Injections: Free samples from RE
  • 2nd monitoring ultrasound: $320
  • Ovidrel (trigger shot): $96.64
  • IUI & Sperm Analysis: $560

Running Total: $3,748.25
